901 Monroe Street Project is a vacant lot but there are Construction crews onsite doing work on the other side of the lot. They need to pick up the Bricks, Trash and demolition waste that surrounds the property.

901 Monroe Street llc owns the vacant lot and land where this trash and demolition waste is poured into the public sidewalk across from the Luke C. Moore public school. Please get DCRA inspectors to cite 901 Monroe Street llc for illegal demolition and dumping waste onto the public sidewalk. It is Christmas and the developers have not maintained their vacant lot and the sidewalks they are responsible for keeping clean. There are people working inside the fenced area that you and DCRA can cite although they are probably renting the lot from 901 Monroe Street LLC.

Tree branches hanging loosely over street and sidewalk ready to fall.
  • 906 Lawrence Street Northeast Washington, District of Columbia - Brookland
This is not a "new" sidewalk. We just want access to the existing sidewalk restored and for the developer to clean and clear their private fence from blocking the sidewalk. They no longer have any permits to block the sidewalk and can not block public space indefinitely without a permit and the court has already revoked their Zoning approval.

Public Tree next to School and Sidewalk and Construction Site has Broken Branch that is about to fall and hurt someone if it is not removed by the City. Just this one Branch seems to have gotten broken or bent by the strong winds from the storm recently. However, the Crack is big and the branch will fall on someone eventually. Please prune and cut this branch along the sidewalk. Kids and Pedestrians going to metro pass this sidewalk every day.

Called Pepco. Same Light Pole Also powers our homes. We have half power, but one phase seems to have sparked and caught fire near transformer affecting half our Power Outlets and the Street Light. Funny thing is that everything was fine until PEPCO sent Repair truck last night. Repair man did something to repair wires for neighbors down the street and when he left, 30 minutes later, the Sparks started Flying, the Transformer made explosive sounds and half our power went out. We only have One Phase of Electricity, but we need both Phases for full power and A/C and the Street Light. Please Fix the Street Light and that will also Fix Power for our Homes because the Phase that Powers the Light also powers our homes. PEPCO is passing buck, don't you pass buck too! Fix the Electric Pole and the Electric Light and Tell PEPCO to stop making the situation worse. What they did Melted the Wires connected to the Second Phase Wiring of the Transformer next to the Street Light. This is therefore a request to fix the Street Light since the Street Light Guy came for the Alley Light, but refused to work on the Street Light without a work order. This is a request for the Work Order, so NO ONE in DC or PEPCO should have an Excuse to not fix this Light and Transformer. Please Stay on Top of PEPCO and we are STAYING on Top of your repairs as well. We need our Light and both our Phases of Power. This Pole is on the side of the Street across from our homes next to Luke C. Moore Public School in the Middle of the 3400 Block of 10th Street, NE. between Monroe and Lawrence.

Please Repair Wires for Alley Light behind homes of 3400 Block of 10th Street, NE. Tree from Col. Brooks Restaurant came down in Neighbors yard and may have something to do with light out so you may want to bring Tree Trimmers into Alley also to remove Tree Branches, but Pepco does not repair Alley Lights and said that DC must do that. You enter (one way) Alley from Lawrence Street, NE near 10th Street, NE. Alley is between 10th and 9th Streets off Lawrence.

There is a combination Pothole and Ground Swell along Riggs Road between Blair and North Capitol Street, NE. Metro Buses travel this route and may be denting the road, so when you patch it make sure you put a steel plate or something that will last over the repair.

The Sidewalks Near the Brookland Metro are full of Snow. You have to Hop over a Mound of Snow to get into the Metro Station or else risk walking in the Street. Metro only plowed part of thier sidewalk and then Stopped before reaching the Street! Brilliant! The Metro Folks must think DC actually knows how to Plow Its Sidewalks near the Metros! No, DC has trouble plowing period, so Metro and DC need to figure out who is going to finish the Job? I hope DC can Clear the Sidewalks around the Metro. Especially the Curbs. Sometimes the Sidewalk is nearly clear, but the Curbs are full of Snow making it handicap and walker risky.
